Here are some steps to follow if you want to make a good quality comment:

1. Compliment the writer

2. Add new factual content or add value

3. Make a connection to the post

4. Ask a question to the author

5. Proofread your post

Here are some of the expectations I have when someone leaves a comment on my blog:

What type of comment is acceptable:

1. A nice comment that gives me compliments about my post.

2. A comment that can relate to what my post is about.

3. A comment that asks a questions about my post.

4. A comment that gives me constructive criticism.

What type of comment will I put in the trash:

1. If its a rude comment, then I’ll put it in the trash

2. If its a comment that is mocking what I’m writing about.

3. If its a comment that has no constructive criticism, but straight up criticizing without telling me how I can improve the post.
